Hey Everyone! The student ministries blog is getting a new look! On September 7th, the blog is officially launching! And also on the 7th, we'll be introducing our bloggers! Here's whats coming:
Mondays: News of the weird
Wednesdays: Hot topic discussions
Fridays: Blogger of the week
News of the weird: Okay, I know this sounds a little...well for lack of a better word, weird, but this is what it is: The blogger for that week will find some really interestingly weird story in the news and then relate that story back to scripture or something spiritually directed (that's not like new age or anything.)
Hot topic discussions: The blogger will pick some hot topic, something that students would be willing to discuss; views on politics, homeless situations etc. There will be 5-10 discussion questions along with it and students can comment and leave their opinion, anonymously.
Blogger of the week: One of our bloggers -whoever is blogging that week - will pick one student from youth group/Sunday school/youth choir and ask them to be the bloggee of the week. The blogger will send the bloggee questions and the bloggee will answer them, send them back to the blogger with a baby picture and a picture from now. I know it sounds like super confusing, but it's really not. It's basically an interview.
We're still looking for bloggers! So, if you're interested in becoming a blogger, email me, Polly (Pollyl12@aol.com) and let me know. We'd like to have at least one student from each grade.

Last Youth Group of the Year June 8th
Can you believe the school year is coming to a close? I feel like this year flew by. As a celebration for the end of school and the end to youth group this year we will be having a cookout at our last youth group on June 8th here at VPC. It's going to be a great event with food, fun, and some sweet prizes. The night will begin at 6:30pm and go until 9pm. This is a great event to bring your friends to.
